Why I’m Running

Georgians work hard. Shawn is running because that hard work should go farther, and Northwest Georgia deserves a representative focused on people, not national drama.

Raised to Serve
A life built on duty

Shawn grew up on a Georgia farm and enlisted in the Marines to serve his country. He and Karla have been married for 35 years, raised five kids and have four grandkids.

After 40 years in the military, including serving as a combat infantry commander in Afghanistan, Shawn retired as an Army General and came right back home to Georgia to live on the farm.

Listening to Georgia
People are working too hard for too little

Talking with folks across Northwest Georgia, Shawn hears the same concerns again and again. Veterans are struggling. The rising cost of living keeps families working extra hard just to make ends meet.

Everyday people do not feel like anyone in Washington is listening to them, and Shawn believes they deserve a representative who shows up, listens and gets to work.

A Better Economy
Make hard work go farther

Shawn believes Georgians’ hard work would go farther if Congress focused on raising pay, lowering costs and creating the tools and opportunities families need to build a good life.

That means building things here again, exporting American products instead of American jobs, and growing more quality, good-paying jobs close to home in North Georgia.

The Fight Ahead
Real leadership for GA-14

For years, Northwest Georgia watched Marjorie Taylor Greene prioritize national drama over the people of this district. The conversation changed when Marjorie quit, giving this district a once-in-a-generation opportunity to bring real leadership back home.

This is a different race than the one Shawn fought in 2024. But he still sees how hungry our neighbors are for a representative who actually works for them, and the coalition is ready for change.

Fighting for the Future
No one gets left behind

Shawn is running because Northwest Georgia deserves more than slogans. It deserves a member of Congress who understands service, discipline and the responsibility to bring people together.

This campaign is about fighting for the future: better jobs, stronger communities, support for veterans and a government that works for working people again.
