Rockmart, GA – In a dramatic show of grassroots strength and momentum, retired Brigadier General Shawn Harris has outraised incumbent Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene in Georgia’s 14th Congressional District. Harris brought in over $500,000 in just 27 days, surpassing Greene’s $419,000 raised over the entire second quarter.
This fundraising surge underscores growing enthusiasm behind Harris’s campaign, as he mounts his second challenge against Greene. A decorated Army veteran and proven leader, Harris is the only Democrat to run against Greene twice, proving both his commitment and growing support across party lines.
“People are ready for serious leadership,” said Harris. “This race isn’t about noise or stunts—it’s about restoring dignity, integrity, and real service to the people of Northwest Georgia.”
Fueled by small-dollar donations and a growing coalition of Common Sense Republicans, Democrats, and Independents disillusioned with Greene’s divisive politics, Harris’s rapid fundraising haul reflects a campaign gaining serious traction.
In the 2024 election, Harris outperformed Kamala Harris by 12 points districtwide while Marjorie Taylor Greene lost 4% of Trump voters.
With Greene facing mounting scrutiny and Harris building one of the strongest grassroots campaigns in Georgia, the race in GA-14 is shaping up to be one of the most closely watched in the country.
